In the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, as wheat harvesting begins, high yields have been achieved this year thanks to the rains.
Farmers in the Gümüşlü hamlet of Ortaç village, located 30 kilometers from the district, have started the wheat harvest. This year, thanks to the heavy rains, the region has seen increased yields, and villagers are harvesting wheat both manually and with machines under the intense heat.
During an inspection of the harvested fields, Perviz Geçirgen, President of the Yüksekova Agricultural Chamber, assisted the farmers and carried out wheat harvesting with machinery. Geçirgen noted that it has been a bountiful year, stating, "We visited the Gümüşlü hamlet of our Ortaç village. We came to the wheat fields that our farmers have worked hard to harvest. Despite the challenging terrain, our farmers are managing the harvest despite all difficulties. We wish all our farmers a successful harvest."
