Mayor Alp Provides Great Support to Sugar Beet Producers

"Beylikova Mayor Özkan Alp increased corn and sugar beet cultivation as 23,500 hectares of arid fields received water with the activation of the Beylikova Irrigation Dam. Beylikova Municipality continues its support for farmers. In this context, last month, Beylikova Municipality, which took over the operation rights of the Beylikova Water Storage Dam, provided water to 23,500 hectares of arid fields with the activation of the dam and facilitation of water use. Mayor Özkan Alp increased corn and sugar beet cultivation in the district where water scarcity will no longer be a problem. Speaking on the subject, Mayor Alp said, 'Our region in Eskişehir received good rainfall in November. Farmers producing sugar beets, which are of strategic importance in the country's economy, are having difficulty harvesting due to the rains. We, with the machinery and teams of our municipality, support our producers day and night. We assist in the transportation of trucks and trailers loaded with sugar beets with our construction machinery, and for producers with insufficient equipment, we rent our loading machines. I wish abundant and fruitful years for our sugar beet producers.'
