After the inspection and control, administrative fines were imposed on the owners of the animals and the vehicle when the animals were sent for slaughter.
The Elazığ Veterinary Road Control and Inspection Station, which became the second station after Erzurum in Turkey, started operating on April 1st, and strict inspections by the teams continue. The station operates 24 hours a day, checking whether the animals are registered and healthy, whether they have obtained a veterinary health report, and whether they have been vaccinated. In this context, a truck carrying 22 cattle, which departed from Muş Center and was heading towards Kırıkkale, was stopped at the station for inspection. Upon inspection, it was found that some of the cattle in the vehicle were missing documents and ear tags.
Furthermore, upon examination by the veterinarians at the station, it was determined that some of the animals had not been vaccinated against sheep pox (ŞAP). As a result, administrative fines were imposed on the owners of the animals and the vehicle when the animals were sent for slaughter.
