In Malatya, which accounts for 85% of the world's dried apricot production, the apricot harvest, seen as a key driver of the city's economy, is nearing completion. Producers, who are demanding price stability, have expressed concern about the significant drop in product prices compared to the previous year.

Many apricot producers who gathered in the Darende district stated that they are waiting for the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) to make purchases for the new season. They warned that if this does not happen, their year-long efforts might go to waste.
